Academic Interests

I am motivated to learn and understand about communication in birds. Currently, I am starting my doctoral thesis project in this field. My focus will be on studying the southern Grass Wrens to evaluate the function of their alarm calls, which are vocalizations emitted in the presence of a predator. Through this research, I aim to gain a deeper  understanding of the messages conveyed by this species through their alarm calls.
